Arizona Golf Vacations

Tonto Verde Golf Club

Tonto Verde Golf Club is 36 hole golf facility located towards the northeast valley in the city of Rio Verde. Both courses are surrounded by mountains and abundance of desert vegetation. Both courses are known for their desert views and top course conditions.

The Peaks Course at Tonto Verde is the original course, nestled between the Verde River and McDowell Mountains. This course features narrow fairways that slope down toward rugged desert. There are quite a few forced carryovers and subtle elevation changes boasting amazing views of the city.

The Ranch Course at Tonto Verde is a more player friendly course that the Peaks; offering wider fairways and larger landing areas. The desert that surrounds is not quite as dense allowing more room for errant shots. Deep bunkers surround the course adding extra challenge.

  1. I have been playing golf in the phoenix area for 3 years now and this was hands downt he worst experience of my life golfing. From the secpond we arrived we were greeted by no one and only told by a very rude and grumpy starter what cart to put our clubs on he offered no assistance or direction. the driving range was under construction so there was no warming up at all. we arrived 45 min early and no one not even in the club house told us we could drive to the oppisite side of the range and hit balls. The restaurant didnt open until 11 am and wouldnt even give us anything to eat or drink what so ever !!1 its 104 deg outside and no refreshments or snacks at all. There was no cart girll no nothing. we finished our round of golf and were putting on the putting green finishing up when 2 outside service employees came up took our clubs off the carts and out them on the concrete parking lot and just left them sitting there for anyone to take or hit with their car. 2 of the bags they left standing fell over and no one came over to pick them up or apoligize at all. I have never seen such poor customer service at any establishment in my life. On top of everything they dont take cash here !!! probably due to the crappy employees they have working there stealing money from the till or players carts i wou;ldnt put it past the unprofessional staff they have working this unbelievably terrible course i have no idea how this place is in buisness still. FOR YOUR SAKE PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE OR STAY HOME !!!!!!
