Grayhawks Frys.com Open

By • Jul 9th, 2009

Grayhawk Golf Club RaptorThere’s no question Phoenicians know what the biggest show in town is, the FBR Open. But with the recent renewal of contract for the PGA Tour’s second Phoenix stop, the FRYS.COM Open, Grayhawk Golf Club is trying to spread the word.

“Even some of our residents here at Grayhawk didn’t know it was actually a PGA Tour event,” Assistant Professional Nick Koch said. “We are just trying to get people out here to watch.”

Due to the spot the tournament has as part of the post-FedEx Cup Fall Series, many of the games best will likely take the week off, but that shouldn’t keep fans away. Great golf is still great golf and Grayhawk is doing their part to get people out to watch.

They are in the midst of two promotions that are making it easy to justify playing golf AND watching golf. Starting July 6, and running through the 16th you will receive 2 FREE TICKETS to the FRYS.COM Open. It’s really that simple. One green fee = two tickets.

Or if you’re planning playing lots of golf between now and the tournament, you might be interested in The Dirty Dozen promotion: Buy 12 rounds of golf at one Grayhawk’s awesome courses and receive a dozen Callaway Tour ix golf balls AND 12 tickets to the FRYS.COM Open.

If playing golf isn’t in your future, there is another way to earn your free tickets: eat.
Phil’s Grill, named for the lovably lefty, is offering it’s own promotion, also running until July 16th. Buy any meal and receive TWO FREE TICKETS.

You won’t find deals like this anywhere in town, and hopefully this will help bolster the events success for years to come. The PGA Tour loves coming to Phoenix and they will continue to do so. Now is your chance to not only play where the Tour plays, but also punch your ticket to come watch the best players in the world compete.
