Arizona Golf Vacations

Ventana Canyon Golf Club

Ventana Canyon Golf Club home to 36-holes of the most high-end desert golf; the city of Tucson has to offer. The Mountain and Canyon golf courses are semi-private; meaning, you may not play both courses in the same day. Odd days of the year allow the Canyon as the public course and even days of the year do the same for the Mountain course.

The Mountain Course is a target style desert golf layout featuring several elevation changes and many elevated tees. Astonishing views of the city may be seen from these high elevations. There are many forced carries on the golf course. The fairways are narrow and plagued with uneven lies. Greens are of average size well protected by bunkers throughout the course. The Mountain is one of the top requested Tucson golf courses in the state.

The Canyon Course is longer than its sister course; however, considered less difficult. The golf course winds through Esperro Canyon and integrates the massive rock formation known as Whaleback Rock, which is a huge boulder located behind the green on Hole 10. Narrow fairways and forced tee carries are also present of this golf course. Views of the Tucson skyline may be seen from every tee box on the course.

Scenic Fact: Hole #3 located on the Mountain course at Ventana Canyon stretches across 107 yards of cactus and canyons and the elevated tee box boast views of Sonoran desert that extend hundreds of miles into Mexico. It is the most photographed hole in the state of Arizona.
