Get Last Minute Tee Times Via Text

By • Sep 17th, 2009

tee-timeTeeTimeText is a new service that allows golf courses to send subscribers customized text messages to their mobile phones. Currently, the service is only being offered by golf courses in Arizona through a partnership with the Southwest Section PGA.

It is a great way for golf courses to communicate with their database to fill last minute tee times. The golf courses are allowed to send one message per day and can actually send information about anything. They can text about demo days, special events, tournaments, discount sales or golf shop specials all to an audience that has asked to receive that message.

The subscription service works with all major cellular phone carriers, including  Alltel, AT&T, Cingular, Dobson, Roger, Sprint, T-Mobile, Nextel, Telus, Boost, Virgin Mobile, and Verizon.

TeeTimeText has only recently become available, but is constantly adding golf courses. In partnership with the Southwest Section PGA, the company aims to bring hundreds of Arizona courses on line with the service. The service claims to be a win-win situation: the courses, through this new communication method, and the golfer, through direct savings and other benefits.

One of the benefits a TeeTimeText member will enjoy is the “Member for a Day Program.” This reward includes one free round of golf at a participating Private Club when accompanied by 3 paying players. This is a perfect fit for private clubs looking to bolster revenues.

Annual memberships cost $89.99. To subscribe go to www.southwest.pga.com and click on the TeeTimeText logo or visit www.teetimetext.com.
