Michael Sim Earns Instant Promotion To PGA Tour…

Michael Sim, Australian native now based in Scottsdale, Ariz. earned his way onto the PGA Tour for the remainder of this year and next following his third victory of the year on the Nationwide Tour. Sim secured the instant promotion after he fired a final round 4-under 67 at the Christmas in October Classic, good for 20-under par 264 total and a two-stroke victory over Josh Teater. Sim won earlier this season at the Stonebrae Classic and the BMW Charity Classic.

Sim plans to play Turning Stone Resort Championship and the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, but is still undecided on whether he will play the Frys.com Open in Scottsdale or the Nationwide Tour Championship. Sim lives on the second hole at Grayhawk Golf Club—host course for Frys.com Open. He says he’ll definitely be playing in the Australian Masters.
